Our Mission
Stories that Inspire Planetary Consciousness (SIPC) is a catalyst for transformative change, using the timeless art of storytelling to spark awareness, shift mindsets, and inspire action. We combine creativity, scientific inquiry, and community engagement to address the most pressing challenges facing humanity and the environment. Through our projects in art, music, research, sports, and grassroots advocacy, we create spaces where stories become powerful tools for knowledge-sharing, healing, and collective action. SIPC exists to breathe conscious energy into the planet and to nurture a world where every individual can tell their story, shape solutions, and drive lasting societal transformation.

OUR STORY
SIPC Founding Story and Organizational Background
Every movement begins with a spark.
For SIPC, that spark was the belief that stories can reshape the world. Born from a vision to bridge creativity, science, and human connection, Stories that Inspire Planetary Consciousness (SIPC) began as a small idea with a bold ambition: to use storytelling not only as a mirror to reflect society, but as a tool to rebuild it.
SIPC was founded in 2018 by Juliet Rogers, a young and inspiring leader deeply committed to environmental and social transformation in Sierra Leone.
Juliet’s journey began in the aftermath of the 2017 Freetown mudslide, a tragedy that claimed the lives of nearly 5,000 people. Witnessing the disaster firsthand raised profound questions for her:
- Why are the trees in Freetown being cut down so rapidly?
- Why are citizens encroaching on the hills to build residential houses?
- Why does the city flood every rainy season, leading to loss of lives and property?
These questions sparked a sense of urgency in Juliet. In her own words, she felt the need “to breathe conscious energy in the minds of the next generation.”
Drawing on her background in public health and her passion for writing, Juliet established SIPC as a platform to inspire environmental awareness and social responsibility through storytelling, research, and youth empowerment. She envisioned a Freetown that is sustainable, clean, and healthy; and believed that the first step to achieving this goal was helping young people understand the connection between our environment and our lives.
